Align & Flow
Align & Flow is designed to build a strong foundation with your breath and body, as they move together steeped in the principals of alignment. The perfect class to be playful, explore personal potential, heal and transform. The traditional sun salute, is a very important component in this class with rest in downward dog. As with all our classes, opportunities for pranayama and meditation may be offered. This class is perfect for all levels of practitioners.

 

Unity Yoga
Unity Yoga skillfully blends the traditions of Indian and Himalayan yoga, and your internal energy for the purpose of creating balance, resilience and adaptability for body, breath and mind. Taking all the components of an Align & Flow class to the next level. Expect a creative, strong and balanced practice that incorporates all ranges of motion for hips, shoulders and spine and breathwork. You will move around your mat, in a 360-degree circle, just as the energies of your body are in constant motion. Postures are held to give you an opportunity to go deeper and explore yourself from the inside out. This class is good for those with some knowledge of the poses, designed to help you reach your fullest potential on the mat.

 

Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa Flow is a fun, challenging, energizing fast paced yoga class. One breath per movement in a warmer class setting which strengthens the core, legs, arms, and personal will. Classes will pick up speed as your body is warmed up. Advanced postures, arm balancing, back bending and inversions are introduced and included in the class. IF you want a challenge, your heart will race, your body will sweat (detox) this class is for YOU, a yoga workout to clear your mind and challenge your body. This class is not for first time yoga practitioners, you should have a general idea of postures, and be able to move through a sun salute with ease of movement and breath.

Pilates Mat Class
Pilates is an excellent supplement to your yoga practice and is accessible to all levels. You will train your body to balance all muscle groups' strength and flexibility, with an emphasis on challenging the core muscles with each movement. It is a challenging yet safe method to sculpt your body and help you feel increased agility in your everyday movements. Pilates is a movement re-education program designed to work muscles in the body in an efficient, focused manner. The exercises are designed to focus on all the key principles of Pilates; postural alignment, lengthening and strengthening the body, breathing, core stability, controlled movement and flexibility. They are low-impact and may also be combined with props such as weights, balls, and bands.


Beginners Yoga
Beginners Yoga is offered seasonally because beginners are welcome to any of our classes. We will help you find your center, breathe deeper, and explore the various postures slowly and anatomically correct. This class discusses foundation, dristi (how you don’t lose balance on your mat), breathing (the MOST important aspect of your practice), and introduces you to various postures. Take time for yourself, change your life.

 

Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a suitable class for all levels of experience. Practitioners are offered the opportunity to surrender, slow down and bring their body and mind into balance. Many of the poses are seated, supine, or prone and are held with the muscles relaxed for several minutes (3-7 minutes). Yin yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga and exercise that emphasize internal heat and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles (running, weight lifting). The main intention of yin is to maintain or improve the current state of muscular health to optimal levels. Yin targets the connective tissues, the fascia, by focusing on the breath, being present in the moment, relieving tension, and fully letting go.

 

Flow to Yin

Flow to Yin is the perfect class end to your busy day. A slow flow yoga class combined with yin yoga designed to nourish your soul. Breath deep, surrender to the postures on your mat, let yourself experience a quiet end to the hustle and bustle of your daily like. Soothing, calm music, maybe even a few candles. The flow will have a balance of strength and stability, yet the yin postures will allow you to explore deep internal sensations in a completely relaxed state. Beginners to advanced encouraged, regardless your skill level this is the class for you!

 

Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga is our most therapeutic class, super slow and easy. Regain your health, vitality, and independence through this practice. Whether you’re just beginning yoga, physically weak, suffering from an illness or injury, Gentle Yoga is a safe environment to help you feel renewed and at peace. This class that will focus on postures that calm the body and work on easing discomfort. We focus on the large muscle groups, most classes are taught solely on the floor, and transitions are minimal. This class is great for people who suffer from arthritis, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, sciatica, hip issues, shoulder and neck problems. Gentle yoga can help serious practitioners avoid surgeries, decrease scar tissue, and perform their daily tasks PAIN FREE! Great for women who are expecting.

   

5Elements Flow
5Elements Flow is a dynamic vinyasa flow practice within the Kunga Yoga methodology developed by Kristin Cooper and taught locally by Rachael Harper. This practice blends yoga with the ancient science of Ayurveda, depending on the season she will be sharing one of those 5 flows (earth, fire or water) with you every 3rd Friday of the month at 6:30. Suitable for levels of practitioners.

 

5Elements Earth Flow- 5Elements Earth Flow is a grounding, hip-opening practice, which emphasizes stability and strength through a steady and strong flowing sequence. Strength is cultivated through a series of slow salutations (namaskars) and standing and supine hip-opening postures. 5elements Earth Flow is for all levels of students that wish to move through a slow, deep vinyasa practice; completing with a restorative savasana and longer period of meditation

 

5Elements Fire Flow- 5Elements Fire Flow is a powerful, motivating vinyasa yoga class emphasizing strength and purification! This energetic practice can help with digestion, weight loss and detoxification. Fire represents metabolism, heat, and the practice of “tapas” or discipline. The emphasis of 5Elements Fire Flow is on building heat, and strength through a series of challenging salutations, standing postures, core work and arm balancing. This practice is rapid, expansive and strong, and closes with a lengthy relaxation to balance the strong effort. 5Elements Fire Flow is an intermediate to advanced practice.

 

5Elements Water Flow- 5Elements Water Flow is a rejuvenating practice incorporating fluid vinyasa, and circular wave motion throughout the body within a soft, slowly flowing sequence. This is a nourishing and calm practice meant to balance the effects of stress, depletion, and over-stimulation from life or from strong heated agni(fire)-based practices. The circular movements of 5Elements Water Flow lubricate all of the joints in the body, and support increased spinal mobility, range of motion, and balance. 5Elements Water Flow is a full body vinyasa practice with an emphasis on shoulder opening, fluid backbends, and the six movements of the spine. Working to move the body as liquid matter, we release old patterns of stress and tightness. All levels are welcome, and this practice ends with a lengthy relaxation.

 

GROW YOUR PRACTICE is a monthly workshop offering designed to create a dialogue and answer questions you may have about bringing your practice to the next level. Helping you to create a stable practice, teaching inversions, proper alignment techniques, arm balances, back bending, and much more! Introduces intermediate techniques of pranayama (breath work) as well as intermediate/ advanced asana, transitions. We grow together, laughing, challenging, and supporting each other on and off the mat. $25.00
